Movie
Rhino With Aqualung
a
film by Russ Schneider
In 1982, Russ made a 35-minute, 16mm movie called
Rhino With Aqualung.
He shot it in Little Point Sable, Michigan, using friends and family
as the actors. It is based on the antics of a friend and the themes
of alcoholism, family, and WWII.
Rhino turned out amazingly well. When it was
turned into a digital version, the film specialist who worked on
it thought it was good and should be entered in a film festival.
So far, no attempt has been made to do this.
The soundtrack is great.
Rhino is available here for download as Quicktime
movies--in four parts to keep the files smaller. Unfortunately,
this has made the movie darker; and because much of it is backlit,
it was dark to begin with. It is still quite viewable. The first
file is the smallest, and so a good indication of how long it will
take to download. At an internet connection speed of 56k it should
download in a few seconds.
